What Happens at Your First Visit
This is a walkthrough of a first appointment, written to take the surprise out of it. If you have not had a medical aesthetic treatment before, it helps to know what actually happens in the room.
Before you come
Book online, or call or text the practice at (509) 870-3747. Hours are by appointment, including some evenings and weekends.
Bring a list of your current medications and any relevant medical history.
Please don’t put medical details in the website form. Your history is taken during your evaluation, where it belongs.
When you arrive
The practice is at 325 South Sullivan Road, Suite B, Spokane Valley. Parking is at the door rather than in a downtown garage.
The evaluation
Keanna evaluates you — in person or via face-to-face telehealth, whichever suits you. She takes a history, examines the area you are asking about, and asks what you are actually hoping for — which is a different question from which treatment you booked.
This is a clinical appointment, not a sales consultation. The goal is to work out whether a treatment is appropriate for you, and if so, which one. That sometimes means the answer is not the treatment you came in for.
The honest conversation
Keanna will tell you what is appropriate, what is not, and when the answer is no or not yet. Being told no is a normal outcome of an appointment, not a wasted visit. It is part of what you are paying for.
Consultation fees
Some services carry a consultation fee. It varies by service, and it is not credited toward the cost of treatment. We’d rather tell you that here than at the counter. More about what it costs →
If you go ahead
Consent involves being told what the treatment does, what it does not do, and what to expect afterward. You are given a way to reach the practice if something concerns you after you leave.
If a nurse treats you
When Keanna treats you herself, she evaluates you as part of your care. When a registered nurse performs your treatment, Keanna completes a good faith exam first — in person or via face-to-face telehealth, whichever suits you — to meet Washington’s safety guidelines. Either way, the person responsible for your care is the one who decides whether the treatment is appropriate for you.
Afterward
You are given aftercare instructions, and you are told how to get in touch with a question or a concern. If something does not look or feel right after a treatment, the right thing to do is contact the practice rather than wait.
